My winter break went by way too quick. I had planned to catch up on all my classes throughout winter break but things didn’t go as planned. Next thing I knew winter break was over and I didn’t do any school work at all until like the last few days of winter break. Overall my winter break was really fun we went to my families house a couple of times for a get together and ate some delicious food. My winter break was more relaxing then I had planned but since I didn’t do any of my school work throughout it I stressed a lot the last 2 weeks of the semester when we got back.
Sadly I didn’t finish all my classes first semester, I didn’t finish english nor physiology due to my procrastination. That right there is my biggest regret I wish I would’ve stayed focused in English and physiology and finished them on time. Although I didn’t finish those I did finish all the rest which was good because I finished more classes then I didn’t. Another thing I was proud of is that I got a good grade in my CNA class and now we're finally going to start clinical at Lindsay Gardens. Some thing I learned is to not put things off because they will just keep piling up and backfire on me.
The reality of last semester has hit me. This is because this is my last semester to complete all my classes. I have no more chances to finish. Before I graduate I need to accomplish my senior exit interview and the last semester of all my classes plus the work I didn’t finish first semester.
My college applications are going good so far I have currently been accepted to East Bay and Fresno State and I have completed my FAFSA and cal grant form. I have also been staying on track completing the things I need to turn in for the colleges, for example transcripts, EOP recommendations, etc. I have also been staying on track with the paperwork and things I need to turn in for Porterville College and College of the Sequoias. I have not yet made a decision of what college I would like to attend because I have to think about it financially as well. I am thinking about going to Fresno State as of right now with a couple of my friends but I am still not 100 percent sure due to the cost of the college I am having second thoughts. If I change my mind I might just attend Porterville College for 2 years and then transfer to Fresno State.
All I can say is that first semester was a stressful one. I struggled to catch up and be on pace even if I didn’t end up being on pace in all my classes. But I know that by the end of the year I will have finished all my classes and graduated and it will all be worth it.
